Can't believe I got this attached

Thinking about Colette (pre-complete snap insanity arc) and her existential/ identity crisis. I keep connecting this to the song six feet under by Vane. Like she knows on some level all of this is the fault of Starr Corp but for some reason (probably the brainwashing) she can't bring herself to hate them (Starr Corp). Like the rage she feels towards them is being redirected to her general aggression (probably the virus thing in Starr Park or something) and towards herself possibly. Also it isn't helping that she probably got the job at the gift shop to study the brawlers and is becoming attached to them, that kind of emotional conflict on top of an identity crisis and an existential crisis, on top of trying to navigate a park that defies all spatial logic would drive someone to a breaking point eventually.

(Idk what to rate this, I'm rating it T just in case)

On another note regarding another headcanon I had about her breaking point (trying to find a way out or seeing if there's any chance those she interacted with before the game (Pam, maybe Piper, maybe other former members of SPUDE) can recall anything of their past life. I imagine the words that broke Colette were something like (from Pam, whom the Webmaster was probably close to) "hey, I don't know you, but it sounds like you're having some pretty intense issues. As far as I know, I've never met anyone like you."

That would be pretty crushing to hear coming from someone you once knew and were probably close with, especially after being gaslighted and trying to hold onto who you were.

OMG I never thought I would get this emotionally attached to BRAWL STARS of all things but here I am. Thinking about OG Colette/Webmaster's story and it's horrifying and depressing. Only a few times before have I studied a piece of media and it made me feel this attached to the characters and make the world way more horrific.
